Ein Star hatte Geburtstag....

... und ich habe ihn besucht: Unser Berliner Eisbärchen ist ein Jahr alt geworden. Nachdem ich den Medienrummel um Knut lange gemieden habe und ihn mir lieber ganz aus der Nähe beim RBB angesehen und seine Entwicklung verfolgt habe, musste ich ihn am 05.12. im Berliner Zoo endlich mal live sehen.
Ich bin erst am Nachmittag hingegangen, da waren die Presseleute zum Glück schon weg und an seinem Gehege war nicht mehr so viel los, wie im Fernsehen immer zu sehen ist.
Er war gar nicht weiß sondern ziemlich schmutzig ;-) und hat die meiste Zeit geschlafen aber als die Besucher ganz laut “Knuuuut” riefen, hat er sich angesprochen gefühlt. Schön, dass es ihm so gut geht, aber er hätte ruhig etwas langsamer wachsen können.
Einige andere Tiere habe ich mir auch ansehen können. Zum Beispiel die Robben: Sandra hat viele Kunststückchen drauf und der Pfleger versucht auch den anderen behutsam etwas bei zu bringen. Die Pinguine sind lange Bahnen geschwommen und die Nilpferde sahen unter Wasser sogar fast graziös

aus.
Zum Schluss besuchte ich wie immer die Elefanten; Bei ihnen zu Hause duftet es immer nach frischem Heu und sie strahlen eine unglaubliche Ruhe aus - genau das Richtige in der Adventszeit.

... y yo le visité: Nuestro osito polar de Berlín ahora tiene un año. Después de evitar la fiébre de Knut durante algún tiempo y de mirarle a Knut y obsesionar su desarrollo a bocajarro en la tele, quería verle a Knut en directo el 5 de diciembre en el parque zoológico de Berlín.
Acudió al zoo por la tarde, cuando por suerte la presa ya estaba lejos y de su recinto ya no había mucha marcha como se ve en la tele.
Pero Knut no era blanco, sino bastante sucio ;-) y dormió casi todo el tiempo. Pero quando la gente llamó en voz alta “Knuuuut”, el osito se sintió hablado. ¡Que bien, que va muy bien! pero ¡que lastima, que aumentaba tan rapido!
Podía también mirar algunos otros animales. Por ejemplo las focas: Sandra se sabe muchos trucos y el entrendor avisadamente ensaya trucos con las otras. Los pinguïnos nadaban una vuelta y bajo del agua los hipopótamos parecían casi elegantes. Al fin les visié a los elefantes, como cada vez; en su recinto siempre ole a heno fresco y ellos rezumen una calma increíble - exactamente lo adecuado en el adviento.

A Star’s Birthday....

.... was celebrated on 05th of december and I went to visit him: Our berlin polar bear became one year. After having avoided the hype for a long time and having prefered to watch Knut at close range on TV to observe his developement, I longed to see him live in berlin zoo.
I went there at the afternoon when the press was away and when there were less people around his enclosure as seen on TV.
Knut was not white but quite dirty ;-) and mostly slept but when the visitors loudly shouted “Knuuuut” he felt accosted. I’m glad to see that he feels so well. Oh I wish he would not have grown so fast.
I also visited other animals, for example the seals: Sandra knows many feats and the keeper makes the effort to cautious teach the others, too. The penguins did theri laps and the hippos seemed graceful while swimming under water.
Finally I visited the elephants - same procedure as every time: Their home is sweat with fresh hay and they exude calmness - hits the spot in Advent.
